Privacy policy
MP Nutrition is a clinical nutrition practice. Because I provide a health service, I take your privacy seriously and follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Health Privacy Principles in the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic). This policy explains what I collect, why, and how I look after it.
What I collect
- Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
- Health information: the health history, symptoms, medications, blood test results, body measurements and other details you share with me for your care.
- Booking and payment details: appointment times, invoices and receipts. Card payments are processed by Stripe. I never see or store your full card number.
- Website information: how you use this website, collected through cookies and tools such as Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.
How I collect it
When you download a free guide, book or pay online, fill in an intake or check-in form, email or message me, or attend an appointment.
Why I use it
- To provide your consultations and program, and to manage bookings, reminders and payments.
- To send you the free guide you asked for and emails you've agreed to receive. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To improve this website and my advertising.
I never use your health information for marketing, and I never use your story, results or photos in marketing without your specific written consent.
Progress photos
As part of the 12-Week Metabolic Reset, I collect progress photos. I treat these as health information. They are stored securely in your confidential client file and are seen only by your practitioner.
I will never publish, share or use your progress photos, including in marketing, social media or advertising, without your express written consent. Consent to share is separate from joining the program. It is entirely optional, and saying no will not affect your care in any way. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing bella@mpnutrition.com.au. After that I will stop any further use and remove your photos from any channels I control.
Where it's stored
Health and clinical information is stored in Cliniko, a secure practice management system. Email subscriber details are stored in MailerLite. Some of these services store data outside Australia. I choose providers that protect personal information to a standard consistent with Australian privacy law.
Who I share it with
- Service providers that help me run the practice: Cliniko (bookings and records), Stripe (payments), MailerLite (email), Google and Meta (website analytics and advertising). None of them receive your health information from this website.
- Your GP or another health professional, only with your consent.
- Anyone else only where the law requires or allows it.
I never sell your information.
How long I keep it
Health records are kept for at least 7 years after your last appointment, or for children until they turn 25, as Victorian law requires. Email subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.
Cookies and advertising
This website uses cookies, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand visits and to show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see or correct the information I hold about you at any time. Email support@mpnutrition.com.au and I'll respond within 30 days.
Questions and complaints
If you have a concern about your privacy, email support@mpnutrition.com.au first and I'll work with you to resolve it. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or the Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner (hcc.vic.gov.au).
